Forest Marathon

Story

Forest Marathons narrative story is straight forward, there is a girl that enjoys picking acorns. She goes to tropical, cold, rainy desserted places to collect acorns. This character reminds me of the Squirrel in ice age, who will do the absolute craziest things for an acorn.

The narrative also illustrates in the first level of a homey, chill, and comforting area. This suggest that the audience can feel like this game is suitable at home, in a nice comfy bean bag in the garden, or it makes the audience feel like this game is inviting. Where you don't have to worry about frustrating levels. The character in the game which is a girl seems objective. Because from my own knowledge, boys are the adventurous gender. They are the ones who goes out, doing the manly work and search for food or search for items. But this story is a female main character which proves that it is now the 21st century beaches and girls rule. This also shows that the game developer is likely to be a female because of gender bias and it also portrays that girls can do anything. That men jobs are not only designed for men. Einstein says
"Everybody is a genius,
but if you judge a fish by it's ability
to climb a tree, it will live it's
whole life believing that it is stupid"
If you judge a woman by her feminism, she'll  live her whole life believing that she is useless.

Art

You play a 2D game that emphasize the theme, which displays sunny blue sky, green grass and vibrant moods. Flappy bird also has the same background which suggests that this theme is a typical kind of background for other games, like its something for the developer to quickly use or attract specified audience. But it also seems to attract younger audiences due to how the game is set. it is approachable for younger audience because older audiences want more realistic or a bit complicated games. But the colors are very attractive, it is easy to the eye. It also has Minecraft art to it, which suggests that the developer emerged the creativity art from minecraft to forest marathon.

Game-play

I love how the game play of the game is very common to other games, using left and right arrows and the spacebar to jump. I find this type of game play a lot more adjustable, because it is more understandable and easier for the consumer to adjust to the game-play.

 Overall it was fun.
