Impressions on Scarygirl

Scary girl in her flashback dream.

Game Review on Scary Girl.
The art in the game Scary girl, is much more visual than any other regular games (e.g candycrush, Fallout, streetfighter and etc). It doesn't tell you what to do, instead it illustrates you with an animation of what you should be doing. But it does tell you in text your aim of the game, how to play and all other important notes to know what your meant to be doing. The art of it has set a mood to it, sort a like a happy goth. The colors are very gloomy but not sad.

The graphics of the game is very clear and colorful. For a game to be developed, there will always be a story within a game to make things so much more interesting for the viewer. The story in the game was told through a short video with less text in it, like i said before the game is more visual than verbal. It shows us how Scary girl dreamt of flash backs of her life that she had completely forgotten about. She woke up in a tree house to find out she has memory loss. Now shes on a mission to find pieces of her memory back. The video didn't take a long period of time to understand what is going on, it was catchy.

The challenges of the game was that the fact that the game was so visual that sometimes you don't understand completely what it is showing you on what to do and when there is so little text for the audience to read. The object of the first two levels were to go back to scary girls best advice friends to track monsters that has any idea of what her dreams are about or monsters that knows why she's having these dreams. To find her memory back.

The players role in the game is to help her get to those creatures. Help her find her answers.

The disadvantage about this game is after passing level 2, it only stops there. The game doesn't allow you to move to the next step or level and as an audience this makes me feel bummed out. Once the game started getting interesting it suddenly just shuts off. I wouldn't wanna waste my time waiting to load, when i could be visiting other game sites.
