Game Concept

Plot Summary


I thought to do something that is close to home, i want my game to be different in some ways, i have selected two protagonists preferably siblings from in the legend "Pipiri Ma" (the brother and sister) Because it is a Myth that all Cook islanders know and by this i am revealing that this is an aspect from the cook islands, so i am showing the audience that the game will have cook island features, meaning it will have some tropical factors in it. I chose to do siblings because a male gender and a female gender has different abilities (strengths and weaknesses) from each other, a male may have lust weaknesses and females have strategy and the brains strengths, so having both abilities increases the consumers needs in winning the game. And well in my research on reviewing other games, i have never seen two protagonists, that's where my game comes in and change it all, having one player but two characters to play with advances both mental strategies and problem solving. Like what Mr. Cummings said, "you develop problem solving skills".

3 way Act Structure, the first part of the game will obviously be about the two stars (the siblings) and how they fell back to earth on an isolated mystique island. Then them travelling to islands to islands in search for their paradise.

Second part is when they have reached their destination, but was it home?

thirdly, obviously their gonna fight, so probs have some judo, taekwondo, nin jitsu, stuff happening here then the stars(you the character) realise they were living in a parallel universe. Before they went up the sky, they were living in the good universe, but when they fell back down in some ways they have fell on the wrong universe.

 The narrative is about the siblings life when they went up to become the stars, then millions and millions years later (Christianity hasn't arrived yet, everyones still in the dark ages) the two stars fell back down to earth, back to one of the northern groups in the cook islands which is Penryhn but in my game it will be called "Barbarian" because by then Christianity hasn't arrived yet and everyone was still savages. That's when the adventure starts. There will be two parts to this game, we have the northern atmosphere and the southern atmosphere. The northern atmosphere are all the northern islands in the cook islands (Penryhn. Manihiki, Rakahanga, Pukapuka, Nassau, Suwarrow and Palmerston) These are the islands that are above ground, everything is on land. Then there is a southern atmosphere, all the islands in the southern, (Mauke, Mitiaro, Atiu, Mangaia, Aitutaki, Tokerau, and Rarotonga) in the game their names will be different though, just to make the game more adventurous like.  The southern islands will be under the sea, where it is wet and sea creature monster whatever, so It will be a 2D platform game. Each island in the northern, will have it's own maze, or puzzle something for the consumer to challenge it self, after winning you get a paddle and cheats or you play coconut shell memory game, that makes the consumer wonder what could he/she  win as a bonus. So you could put extra life, or cheats, or paddles underneath the coconut shell or to make it difficult have nothing underneath it. Once winning the game and receiving the paddle, the protagonists paddles to the next island in search of their home. The purpose of this whole adventure is to find their family, their home, because after a million years they don't even remember where home is.
